Fingerprints Announces 13th Anniversary Party kick-off with DUNGEN

July is Fingerprints annual celebration of the people who make it possible for us to do this every day, you, our customers. This year's party will kick off on Sunday, July 10th with a very special, acoustic band performance by Swedish psyche-folk wunderkind Dungen. Hot off of everyone’s buzz band list, and right at the start of the tour that will make them (hip) household names. This will be Dungen’s first ever US in-store. Ta Det Lugnt is the band’s third release, and the first to see US distribution. Their music has been described as Swedish psyche/prog/pop/folk rock, with their new album being called a beautiful, uncompromising, multifaceted musical trip straight into your head and deep out into the Swedish forests. It's exciting and adventurous, featuring stunning musicianship, stellar vocals, Hammond B-3 organ, flute, violin, groovy bass, swinging drums, electric and acoustic guitars and screaming fuzz. The US version will contain several bonus tracks. Please note the all-important details: This is a private party and we will be closed during the performance. Free wristbands will be available for pick up at the store beginning at 10:00am Friday, July 8th, until we run out. Capacity will be strictly limited, so don’t wait until the last minute. This will be one of four major in-stores this month, so stay tuned for further announcements. We will be taking pre-orders all weekend for the new record, which will come with an 11X17 poster of the above image, by Robert Pokorny, suitable for signing and framing.
