Better Than the Family That Hands Out Full-Size Candy Bars…

Halloween1.jpgVice Recordings has gathered up the cream of the indie crop for a UNICEF fundraiser that is way more fun than taking some crap empty cereal box out for Halloween, and it won’t interfere with your ability to gather up all that sugary sweetness that is the whole point of dressing up in your Grandmas clothes anyway…that is the point of Grandma’s knickers, right? “Do They Know It’s Hallowe’en is a tongue-in-cheek poke at Sir Geldof’s “Do They Know it’s Christmas?” single, featuring traded verses by Beck, Sonic Youth, Devendra Banhart, David Cross, Malcom McLaren, Peaches, Karen O, plus member’s of Arcade Fire, Postal Service (no not that one), and Rilo Kiley... oh and a bunch more.

It’s for a good cause, and has a sense of humor, unlike putting ice cubes in trick or treater’s candy bags, so don’t just go downloading it without paying for it, that’s uncool. Oh, and it’s super cheap anyway (Fer instance, if you pick up here at Fingerprints, you’ll get change from a fiver).
