G. Love -- Free Instore

G. LOVE – August 2nd, 7:00pm (wristband required and available now)

For those who’ve been anticipating this announcement, it’s now officially G. Love time. It’s been a long time since G. was here rocking the house. And for a very long time G. had the distinction of being our biggest ever in-store. Well, in-stores where we have to turn folks away are always off to a bad start, so we are going to make this one a wristband event. Since this will be G.’s only local appearance we’re going to require a pre-order. To sweeten the deal we’re gonna throw in a G. Love gift bag with every pre-order; including a poster, a wristband to get into this very exclusive event, and a bonus 3 track CD. Dang, that’s some big bag full of happiness.

So, it's been over ten years since G. Love encouraged kids everywhere to "Stick It In The Fridge," and he has been as cool as lemonade ever since. He brought a new brand of funky white soul to the airwaves, and may have invented "Harmonica Rap" as a genre. He made Philadelphia sound more tasty than a cheese steak ever could. There are very few people that don't catch his groove. His fame has spread, and he has even been spotted on Philly rooftops singing the new Coke-A-Cola song "Teach the World to Chill."

Speaking of cold beverages, his new record "Lemonade" is set to stir things up Aug 1st. Garrett (aka G. Love) has brought his friends along for the ride on this one, including Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Blackalicious all anchored by the incomparable Special Sauce. We couldn’t be happier to be able to host G. Love’s only local appearance this summer (rumor is, he won’t be back in the area until September). This one is going to be special, so if you count yourself a fan, don’t wait, as we expect to be out of wristbands fairly quickly.
