Every once in a while an artist shows up our radar and is fully formed, Brett Dennen is just such an artist, we’d heard the name, and certainly the buzz, but were all taken aback at the sheer strength of Brett’s new album, So Much More. Every song on this, his 2nd record, is incredibly solid and it has the kind of flow that is usually reserved for musicians of the household-name variety, and make no mistake, Dennen will be a household name. For those who’ve wondered whatever happened to all the singers with both a social and personal consciousness and a sense of melody, look no further than Brett Dennen. This will be a street date event, so we will have CDs available for purchase and signing at the event. We are also giving a free copy of the pictured poster to everyone who buys So Much More.

Check out a few of Brett’s songs on his myspace page.

Some Recent Press:
“It is a rare combination when an artist can be as good a singer and guitarist as Brett is, but it is his commitment to the word that makes his song live and breathe. His music has a playfulness in its bounce while the lyrics ring with a truth beyond his years.”
      - Michael Franti (Spearhead)

“Brett Dennen is on my very short list of artists to watch. So Much More is a joyous dance - deliciously steeped in hope, faith and unconditional love.”
      - Chris Douridas, KCRW

"I'm really into this kid Brett Dennen, who I heard at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. He may get lumped in with the Jack Johnson feel-good/barefoot thing, but he's so much different than that. He's timeless -- he's probably twenty-five, but he seems like he's twenty-five in 1972. He paints these gorgeous pictures, musically, where you think, 'I want to hear his voice, I want to hear that guitar, and I want to hear those melodies.' I put him on as a head clearer."
      - Rolling Stone (written by John Mayer)

“I Asked When” is purely Dylan-esque in a 21st century “Masters of War” kind of way. For those laid-back ladies that salivate over Jack Johnson as if he were a pork chop, Dennen can make estrogen bubble within a 12 block radius.”
      - Bill Locey, American Songwriter Magazine (**** )
