Dr. Dog -- FREE INSTORE
Dr. Dog In-store Performance
Tuesday, July 10th, 7:00pm
If G. Love is Philly's hip-hop soul brother, then Dr. Dog is its psychedelic stoner cousin. With a style that is an eclectic blend of 60s pop and bedroom indie rock, Dr. Dog first reached beyond the Philadelphia City limits when they were chosen by Jim James to open My Morning Jacket's "It Still Moves" tour. They've released four full-length albums and an ep, including the Fingerprints staff favorite We All Belong (which also just happens to be the new one). If you're down with the idea of lo-fi aesthetic of bands like GBV and Pavement and the song craft of classic power-pop, with echoes of Bowie, and a healthy dose of the Elephant 6 weirdness of OTC and The Apples in Stereo, this will likely top your personal list of in-store events. This is a free wristband event, call us or visit to be added to the guest list.
You can listen to We All Belong.
